ELGUARD Micro Stabilizer with Active SPD
260Volts AC
Works fine even at 550Volt AC
EL-Guard protects the Street light and other lighting products from Electrical surges and Over Voltages. Once the input supply is connected through the EL-Guard, and when the input voltage increases beyond 260Volts AC, the device works like a buck converter and reduces the voltage.
The light keeps functioning and this voltage reduction operation works fine even at 550Volt AC.
El Guard is also an Active surge protection device, which withstands about 6kV Surge. Incase, due to any reason, if the EL-Guard active components fails, the redundancy circuit kicks in and it causes the resettable fuse to turn on, and the light load shuts down if the voltage increases. Once the voltage is back to normal and thermal conditions are stabilised, resettable fuse connects the supply back to the load. In other words, El Guard, is a fail to cut off system that ensures your load gets protected at the worst case line scenarios.

Application
- This product is to be used in the primary side of the AC Streetlight.
- This is a protection mechanism for all types of Lights, from Surge and Over Voltage.
- The device has a quad mode operation of Passive SPD, Active SPD, Voltage reduction during over voltages and Over voltage cut off in case of any failure.
Technical Specs
Note :
1)This device is suited only for lighting loads, SMPS based loads.
2)EL-Guard should not be used for induction motor loads.
3)Output voltage reduction depends on the load and input voltage levels.
4)Passive voltage tripping redundancy is an added feature incase of active SPD and OVP failure.
5)Once you connect EL guard to your streetlight, your streetlight becomes operational from minimum design voltage of the street light to up to 550Volt AC.
6)Warranty - Three years against manufacturing defects.

WHY EL-GUARD-R ?
The majority of the electrical device failures and burnouts happens due to utility power fluctuations and very less due to manufacturing defects. Elguard counters the major line turbulence like:
- Electric Fast Transients (Causes malfunctioning)
- Electrical Surges (Happens due to lightning and other instantaneous errors, Causes burnouts)
- Continuous over voltages (Due to line faults, Causes burn outs)
